Act quick to check out the latest pop up at The Westin Grand at Homer and Robson Street. Sit poolside and catch the last rays of summer amongst the gardens with music from their live DJ. On every Thursday and Friday while the weather lasts.
The menu is created by Executive Chef Matthew Richmond and is served from a BBQ action station. Bartenders from Hidden Tasting Bar & Social Lounge have created cocktails and there’s a selection of beer and wine available.
On a particularly sunny Friday we stopped by to enjoy some drinks and bites. I was tempted to jump into the pool, but managed to contain myself. The menu is well-priced and a few appies together can make a meal, or one or two will start the night off right as you unwind after work with a couple drinks and then proceed on to dinner.
Sliders consisted of salmon with garlic aioli, chicken with mango relish and beef with Chipotle mayo.
Blueberry mojito with Bacardi rum, muddled blueberry, mint, lime juice and the Ginger’s crown Crown royal, lime, ginger. Refreshing.
Our server recommended the Beef quesadilla which sounded rather boring, but it was actually far from so as it was filled with spicy grilled beef and cheddar cheese and served with homemade pico de gallo and Guacamole
Prawn wrapped scallop were nicely grilled.
Albacore tuna with sesame.
