Vancouver Island’s Boat-to-Table Cuisine, May 1 – 31, 2013
“Feast Tofino” Month-Long Culinary Celebration Showcases 25 Acclaimed British Columbia Chefs and West Coast Vancouver Island’s Boat-to-Table Cuisine, May 1 – 31, 2013
Tourism Tofino, the Tofino-Ucluelet Culinary Guild (TUCG) and event organizers today published details of the third annual Feast Tofino — a month-long series of culinary events celebrating the region’s boat-to-table cuisine — to be held on the West Coast of Vancouver Island beginning May 1, 2013.
Feast Tofino’s kickoff event — the “Sneak Peek Into Feast” progressive dining experience on April 21 — previews the “$29, $39 and $49 Dine About Town” menus planned by acclaimed regional and local chefs for the extensive series of Feast events in May.
“Feast Tofino’s specially-created menus from more than 25 restaurants combined with accommodation and activity offers provide a unique culinary travel experience that is also a seasonal highlight for local residents,” said Feast Tofino Event Coordinator, Trish Dixon. “The preview Sneak Peek event gives food lovers the chance to get to know our amazing regional chefs and learn more about the region’s sustainable boat-to-table culinary practices. Then, beginning May 1, the area’s chefs, restaurants, farmers, foragers and fishermen and women come together to produce a month-long series of exceptional culinary events.”
