Clair’s Inn Ladner and Chef Tobias MacDonald announce the launch of a monthly series of gourmet dining events for small groups of discerning guests
Clair Oates, owner/operator of Ladner’s Clair’s Inn welcomes Chef Tobias MacDonald to her gourmet kitchen where he will create culinary elegance in the Inn’s turn of the century dining ambience. On October 25th and November 30th a small and fortunate group of sixteen diners will have the opportunity to experience his superb culinary creativity from vision to plate.
MacDonald is a renowned chef, most notably for his long career at La Belle Auberge in Ladner, BC as well as Schloss Falkenstein in Switzerland and the Pear Tree in Burnaby, BC. In 2005 his skills earned him a place with Culinary Team Canada where he won 8 gold medals in international competition. In May 2012 at the WACS Global Chefs Challenge in Korea MacDonald earned an impressive third place finish. Chef MacDonald shares his passion and love of teaching by coaching the Canadian Junior Team through three successful competitions and now teaches aspiring culinary program students at the Vancouver Community College.
The opportunity to taste Chef MacDonald’s cuisine is few and far between and the event is sure to sell out quickly. Reservations for the 5 course dinner are $125/per person including pairings of some of British Columbia’s best wines from Serendipity, Perseus and Haywire. Taxes not included.
