Each year Spot Prawns arrive in the market and we head down to the docks at False Creek Fisherman’s Wharf to greet Organic Ocean and their crew (including a few Vancouver chefs) on the first day of the harvest. The event is hosted by the Chefs’ Table Society and member chefs from across the Lower Mainland serve you fresh-from-the-boat spot prawns. Tickets were $15 for a plate and all proceeds go to support the Chefs’ Table Society of British Columbia. You must buy them well in advance so mark you calendars for next year.
This year it was May 10, 2014 and there was plenty of excitement as the boat pulled in.
On your plate you’ll get some uber fresh spot prawns potato and Greek salad and bun which just happened to go perfectly with R & B Brewing Raven Cream Ale.
