What? Wine and beer? Well sort of. This lovely ale arrived in it’s pretty package and I was excited to get it chilled and sample. The Kelowna Brewery sourced some local wine barrels and then aged there Hop Head IPA within them. It’s amber in colour and has aromas of toasty oak, citrus notes, toffee, coffee, and a nutty presence.
It’s a flavourful number that did not disappoint. Noticeable hops, somewhat toasty with some mocha characteristics. Nice and creamy. Please pour me more!
