splashAct your shoe size. Not your age! A Night in Celebration of 35 years of Arts Umbrella!

On Saturday, October 18, 2014 once again, the red carpet rolls out for Vancouver’s glitterati in honour of Splash, Arts Umbrella’s signature fundraising event, and one of the city’s most prestigious and high-profile charity art auctions.

“2014 marks the 32nd anniversary of Splash and the 35th anniversary of Arts Umbrella” notes Lucille Pacey, President and CEO of Arts Umbrella. “It’s a momentous year for us.”

The theme for this year’s highly anticipated event, ‘Act your shoe size. Not your age’ is inspired by the limitless creative potential of our students, and a reminder of the positive impact of Arts Umbrella programing on a child’s life.

Attended by 500 business and community leaders, patrons, collectors, and art enthusiasts, this spectacular art auction and gala is expected to generate more than $400,000 in net proceeds for Arts Umbrella and its students. Since its inception in 1983, Splash is estimated to have raised over four million dollars to support the not-for-profit.
The stunning CBC Vancouver production studios will be transformed once again into a breathtaking art gallery and glamorous gala venue. CBC News personalities Rick Cluff and Johanna Wagstaffe will act as hosts for the evening, introducing such inspirational live performances as the students of the Arts Umbrella Dance Company and Senior Musical Theatre Troupe, as well as musician Dawn Chubai and a special guest entrance to Sambata drummers.

Splash is an opportunity to own some exceptional works by world renowned and local artists, and support our growing community of new artists.
Tickets for Splash are now available online. To purchase your tickets, or for more information on Splash 2014 visit www.splash2014.com
