Canada’s most unique festival rolls back into town. It’s time for Cheese Rolling!

The Canadian Cheese Rolling Festival, one of Canada’s most exciting and fun-hearted events, is back again. Hosted by Dairy Farmers of Canada, the event will feature activities the whole family can enjoy including cheese rolling races, costume contest, recipe demos and tastings, and cheese seminars. 

Cheese rolling races will see cheese aficionados racing after an 11-pound wheel of Boerenkaas cheese, produced by British Columbia cheese maker Naturel Pastures, down the slopes of Blackcomb Mountain until a female and male champion is declared. 

 Crazy costume contest will see that attendees and cheese rolling competitors are encouraged to dress in costume to the event. Winners will receive a gift card to Marketplace IGA.                       

Recipe demos and tastings with YUCA restaurant’s Ned Bell, who will be creating a Canadian Cheese Rolling Festival-inspired recipe, featuring Canadian cheese made from 100% Canadian cow’s milk.

Cheese seminars will feature cheese expert David Beaudoin from Dairy Farmers of Canada who will be sharing his knowledge of the wide variety of cheeses made from 100% Canadian milk.
