Experience The Dance Centre like never before at Shall We Dance, a fundraiser supporting Vancouver’s dance talent and The Scotiabank Dance Centre, Canada’s flagship dance facility, on Saturday, September 12.

Embark on a vibrant journey of movement through a swanky speakeasy when the evening’s “Dance Hotel” theme transforms six floors of ballet barres and dance floors into an oasis of exciting, kinetic showcases.
Each room will host a revolving roster of dance styles performed by a line-up of diverse, internationally acclaimed local talents. From tap and ballet to contemporary and urban styles, from Classical Indian to passionate Flamenco, an entire world of dance will be on display alongside roving bands of whimsical circus acts, contortionists, and jugglers.

Dinner On Stage – The evening commences at 6 pm with a Champagne reception, followed by a three-course dinner in The Faris Family Studio, one of Vancouver’s most intimate performance spaces. Dine with some of our city’s most talented dancers, and enjoy live entertainment designed specifically for this space. With an exquisite menu by Cocktails and Canapés and stunning dance artistry on display, all of the senses are sure to be satisfied. Live and silent auctions will contribute to raising funds in support of the art of dance in Vancouver.
Join the Party at 9 pm – Mix and mingle into the wee hours of the morning as you roam through this architectural gem, the home of all things dance, and enjoy live dance performances, open bars, DJs, and circus acts that will turn The Scotiabank Dance Centre into a sultry and raucous den of dance iniquity.

Although I can’t dance myself, the style of dance that I love to watch is contemporary/modern. I’d love to watch SYTYCD perform live!
