West Vancouver’s Mangia e Bevi Ristorante wishes to thank everyone who participated in their their 3rd annual charity event, BACIO (Because a Cure is Obtainable). The event was a great success, raising $52,200 to support cancer research. This brings the total amount raised over the three-year history of the event to $79,500. The 2010 BACIO event consisted of a month-long dinner special offering 3 courses for $40. The menu changed weekly, featuring a different region of Italy every seven days.
Mangia e Bevi also hosted a special four-course finale dinner with paired wines called “Mangere, Bere, Vivere” (to eat, to drink, to live) on January 31st. The evening included an auction featuring a dinner party for 10, a great collection of wine and Italian treats. As in past years, the funds raised by the BACIO event will be donated to the Lions Gate Oncology Clinic and BC Children’s Hospital Oncology Research. Mangia e Bevi thanks its generous guests, auction item donors, and staff for their contributions to this worthwhile fundraiser!
