Food Day Canada Celebrated August 3rd Across Canada
Fairmont Chateau Whistler executive sous chef Derek Bendig announced that his 2019 Food Day Canada (FDC) dinner will be comprised entirely of ingredients from the Whistler Farmer’s Market, located just steps from the hotel’s front doors and now he’s released the complete menu for the August 3, 2019 dinner.
The Whistler Farmer’s Market welcomes local farmers, purveyors, artisans, bakers, and entrepreneurs twice-weekly. From Lillooet’s Spray Creek to Squamish’s Spark Kombucha, the local product of countless market partners will be showcased on the seven-course menu under the creative cookery of Chef Bendig.

Like last year, each course will paired with wine from Penticton’s Roche Wines, which is dedicated to natural, artisanal farming and winemaking.
The 2019 Food Day Canada event at Fairmont Chateau Whistler will take place on Saturday, August 3 at 6:00 p.m. at The Wildflower. Tickets are already on sale and selling fast. Priced at CAD $149 plus administration fees, they can be purchased online at Eventbrite.
