WINEMAKER’S NOTES, CEDARCREEK WINES
Chardonnay, 2008: Sourced from nine unique vineyards including Greata ranch and CedarCreek. Flavours of spiced baked apple, banana, toffee and butterscotch blend nicely with subtle hints of vanilla and toasty French oak on the palate.
Syrah, 2007: Sourced from the Bartsch vineyard located in Osoyoos and the “Grizzly Meadows” vineyard in Naramata. Rich red berry fruit, blueberry, black cherry, sweet fruit aromas with a hint of white pepper. Rich and mouth filling, this wine finishes with a hint of sour cherry and lingering finish.
Platinum Pinot Noir 2006: Barrel aged in a combination of new and one year old French oak with minimum intervention prior to racking. IMedium ruby red in colour with aromas of cherry, coffee, mocha and spice. A medium bodied wine with silky tannins and balanced acidity.
Platinum ‘M’: This amber nectar, “M”, is the only Madeira style wine produced in the Okanagan Valley. Made from Pinot Auxerrois from the 2004 vintage. Madeira is suited to long-term aging.
