Granville Island Brewing Knows West Coast Summers

Patio Season and Robson Street Hefeweizen Have Arrived
Vancouverites eagerly await the arrival of summer – it means hanging out at the beach, playing ultimate, hitting up a patio and drinking an ice cold glass of Vancouver water.

Just kidding… the summer and patios are all about Granville Island Brewing’s Hefeweizen!

This unfiltered wheat ale is brewed from a suspension of precious Bavarian yeast, with generous amounts of malted wheat and German hops. We recommend adding a wedge of lemon, making Hefeweizen the perfect summer refreshment.

Brewmaster Vern Lambourne also shares a few of his favourite patio spots to enjoy a cold Hefeweizen – where better to enjoy a summer day than at:

§       Joe Fortes, downtown

§       The Mill Marine Bistro, Coal Harbour

§       Cardero’s, Coal Harbour

§       The Boathouse, English Bay

§       Bridge’s, Granville Island

§       Timbre, Commercial Drive

§       Elwood’s, Kitsilano

§       Mahoney’s, UBC

“We know that summer refreshment in Vancouver can be found with a Hefeweizen,” says Vern. “There’s nothing like experiencing the true essence of a Vancouver summer than a cold brew on a patio after a day at the beach, a volleyball game, or rollerblade around the seawall.”

Robson Street Hefeweizen is available in 6-packs in liquor stores and patios throughout Metro Vancouver. And while Vern may scoff at it, lemon wedges available upon request.
