Consumers invited to Park Royal Shopping Centre for two-day Home + Garden Weekend
Marketplace Events Vancouver announces the Home + Garden Weekend at Park Royal Shopping Centre South Mall April 17 and 18. The two-day event from noon to 5 p.m. will offer expert advice, ideas and shopping in areas of renovation, landscaping and décor.
“We took our favourite components of the BC Home + Garden Show at BC Place Stadium and brought them to Park Royal Shopping Centre for an informative weekend event featuring a fantastic lineup of talented experts,” says Jill Proseilo, Show Manager for the BC Home + Garden Show.
Consumers are invited to stop by the Urban Barn Stage for live presentations covering a range of home and garden topics. Stage speakers include Canadian style guru, Janette Ewen, experts from the Greater Vancouver Homebuilders Association as well as Vancouver Sun Gardening Editor, Steve Whysall and HGTV host of She’s Crafty, Wendy Russell.
Also available is the “Ask an Expert” area where consumers can get the insight and advice required to solve a DIY dilemma or to get a home or garden project off the ground. Additionally, the weekend includes a mini trade show component where visitors can browse various booths from local experts and shop great deals from Park Royal retailers on every product for the home.
“With the rooftop renovations at BC Place, we had to look for a new venue for a more concise show and Park Royal was a great fit. The mix of high quality retailers, free parking and accessibility will make for a fun and interactive weekend,” says Proseilo.

About The BC Home + Garden Show:
The BC Home + Garden Show has been an important event in the Lower Mainland for 35 years, housing over 425 exhibitors, a feature home, and dream gardens. Due to the 2010 Winter Games and the replacement of the air-supported roof at BC Place Stadium, the BC Home + Garden Show is on hiatus for a year but will return in March 2011 at the new Vancouver Convention Centre.
