Spring is here and the second annual Antique Corset Exhibition is upon us – Parisian themed!
On Sunday, May 27th, 2012 come and witness the French themed fête at the 2nd Annual Parisian Antique Corset Exhibition, a fundraiser in support of opening the world’s only corset museum, to be located in Vancouver.
VIP luncheon is provided by T Room Bakery. We have arranged a buffet style menu with an assortment of petit gourmet sandwiches, mini quiche, macarons, and other french treats. Accompany these delectable bites with an assortment of tea/ coffee and a glass of bubbles from Vino Allegro Wine Imports.
After a recent treasure hunting trip to Paris and Venice for Carnival Melanie Talkington was inspired with the Parisian joie de vivre; and desired to continue the festivities in Vancouver with a touch of Paris!
Enjoy a display of exquisite antique French corsets from the height of fashion; the exhibition will showcase a vast collection of breathtaking Parisian antique corsets from the 1840s-1920s, with stories of the woman who wore them and the times they lived in. The corset exhibition will also feature local models wearing contemporary designs based on the historic styles; bringing history to modern life.

The VIP ‘La Belle Epoch Café Luncheon’ at Hycroft Mansion from 11am – 12pm, will include a lunch of savory and sweet delights, an exclusive fashion show and gift bag.
General admission to the exhibition will be from 12pm – 4pm and includes an elegant afternoon at Hycroft Mansion and gardens, a silent auction of unique treasures and Madame McRae’s Boudoir photo booth by Shimona Henry.
Specially selected vendors include Bueno Style Vintage Jewelry, Cocoa Nymph Chocolates, Creampuffs by GG, Sonja’s Soaps and Picnik Fashions. Wine by Vino Allegro is available at a cash bar, as well as lemonade and coffee/tea. T Room is catering the VIP Luncheon and vending sweets and savories to all.
We are very excited to be in partnership with Alliance Française to promote our event to the French community of Vancouver.
All tickets can be purchased at Lace Embrace Atelier located at 219 East 16 Ave (at Main St.), or online. All proceeds from this event go directly to funding the antique corset museum.
