On Friday, January 27, 2012 Wine Australia will partner with house wine to celebrate Australia Day with a wine tasting that explores the long history and success of the 189 year old Australian wine industry. UnearthAustralia: Pioneers and Superstars will feature 25 wineries and over 80 wines from wineries who helped shape the industry as we know it now, and, as the face of Australian wine continues to change, those who are leading the charge forward.

At this event to celebrate Australia Day participants will have a chance to try over eighty wines, learn about the roots of Australia’s nearly 200 year old wine industry and sample wines from across all regions.
Australia Day officially falls on January 26th each year and in 2012 Australia will be 225 years old.
