Virtual Tasting Room On BC Wine Wednesday
The tasting room at Sperling Vineyards may be closed because of the pandemic but that’s not going to stop us from sharing wine. Ann has stories and images from the vineyard along with tasting notes and food pairings for the selected wines. There is a Q&A and an exclusive limited offer of 6 and 12 bottles of wine only available in the tasting room. Discover Sperling Vineyards an historic wine estate in the Okanagan that has been organic since 2017 and farms biodynamic ally (it takes four years for certification after being certified organic). Hear Ann’s stories about her family’s history of 135 years of farming in the Okanagan valley and her very special wines from East Kelowna on the Lakeshore in an area called “the Mission” in the increasingly popular Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. About Mark Shipway
Mark Shipway is a UK born Vancouver based wine & spirits consultant, wine educator and working wine professional. To Mark’s credit, he was instrumental in bringing the Wine Scholar Guild programs to Canada including French Wine Scholar and Italian Wine Scholar which he currently teaches here in BC. Mark completed WSET Diploma in 1999 with Distinction grade and is currently preparing for the Court of Master Sommeliers Master Sommelier Theory exam. Mark often moderates panels at Vancouver International Wine Fest and other industry events. He loves to share his passion for French and Italian wines with a particular fondness for Burgundy and Champagne.
