In British Columbia there is no shortage of women in beer so when the call for a Collaboration Brew came from  the Pink Boots Society in the US, a group of Victoria female brewers answered.  On International Woman’s Day the group will meet to brew up a special brew up Unite Pale Ale to raise the profile of women in the industry and to raise the profile of beer to women

Meeting in Victoria’s at Spinnakers Brewing will be Kim Marrington and Kala Hadfield  from Spinnakers, Claire Connolly from Dogwood Brewing, Becky Julseth from Salt Spring  Brewing, and some of the crew from Driftwood to brew up a  pale session-style beer

During Victoria Beer Week there will also be a screening of  the new documentary Women And Beer: The Love Of Beer  on Saturday from 3-5 pm followed by a panel discussion.
