Create our Signature Vancouver Cocktail

For more than seven years now Tales of the Cocktail has been issuing a challenge to mixologists throughout the world to create the flavor of each year’s festivities with the official cocktail. Now as Tales of the Cocktail makes it’s way to Vancouver, the world’s premier cocktail festival is asking Canadian mixologists to share their original cocktail recipes for a chance to be named the Official Cocktail of Tales of the Cocktail on Tour – Vancouver.

“Every Tales of the Cocktail has its own unique flavor thanks to each year’s official cocktail,” said Ann Tuennerman, founder of Tales of the Cocktail; “As we take Tales to Vancouver we are looking for a cocktail that reflects the diverse spirit of Canada.”

Now through December 27, 2010, bartenders throughout Canada are encouraged to submit recipes that they feel capture the taste and culture of Canada. All recipes must be made using a choice of aged 10 years + age stated Canadian whisky and participants are encouraged to use ingredients that are indigenous to the provinces of Canada. In addition to having their cocktail featured throughout Tales of the Cocktail – Vancouver, the winning mixologist will also receive travel, accommodations and event passes to Tales of the Cocktail on Tour – Vancouver.
