CANYON OPENS FOR WITH A FRESH MENU EVERY NIGHT FOR DINE OUT

Chef Scott Kidd opened Canyon to the public on Tuesday, January 21, 2013. With two days of soft openings, the restaurant opened to the neighbourhood with a resounding success. A full house for the first week says Canyon is off to a great start. Diners can join for dinner six nights a week from 5:00 – 10pm, brunch Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 2:30 pm and lunch Tuesday to Friday from 11 – 3pm. Canyon is closed on Monday. Canyon is an enthusiastic participant of Dine Out Vancouver. Their DOV menu is ever evolving; a different menu daily priced at $38, with delectables such as “two tuna tartare, crisp nori | mamas 1Ž2 roast chicken with peppercorn sauce | chocolate mousse. Wines by the glass include Hatfield’s Fuse on tap, Bartier & Scholfield Rose by the bottle, reserve wines the likes of Ridge Lytton Springs and a great selection of beer, both on tap and by the bottle.

Canyon is the essence of Scott Kidd; a partnership with his wife Helen Sheridan and his journey through culinary life.  A passion for food, love, respect and a healthy dose of light hearted fun, Canyon is described by Kidd as a neighbourhood joint; bistro style with casual elegance and always a sense of humour. The cuisine focuses on local products of course, some old style favourites, Kidd’s legendary use of bits otherwise known as offal and of course, new items inspired by his new location.
