September 8, Madrona Farm – This event is best described as a combination between Iron Chef and Tough Mudder!
Cheer on your favorite chefs as they prove their dedication to local sustainable ingredients and the lengths they will go to protect the farmland that provides them. The chefs hang, hurdle, balance, zipline, climb, crawl, race their boats to condiment island and then round the 24 acre mountainous Madrona Farm to forage for the vegetables for their masterpieces, which they will then cook for you all on camping gear.
This event could quite possibly be the best day of your life, laughter guaranteed, includes: feast, music, and obstacle race. Reasonably priced and perfect for the whole family.
This year to add to the fun, 10 Saanich Firemen will be accompanying the chefs in the obstacle race and one firemen elected by his collegues as ‘best chef’, will cook.
We will also be giving our Community Action Awards to the Saanich Firedepartment for their incredible contribution to the communtiy that we just cannot live without!!
