Signature Dish: Braised Lamb Shank with wild mushroom polenta, green beans, rosemary red wine reduction
Lamb slow cooked in a red wine rosemary sauce until is fell from the bone; tender and flavouful. The polenta wedges were crunchy and had an earthy mushroom flavour and were a good companion and worked well to sop up the tasty sauce. Green beans were cooked perfectly and added colour to the plate.
Price: $15.95
Offered: Dinner nightly

Signature Dish: Brown Butter Broiled Organic Peace Country Beef Marrow ‘Provençal’ with fried green heirloom tomatoes, bourbon onion jam, butter potato gnocchi and chanterelle mushroom cornbread.
This impeccable dish disappeared quickly as I scooped the decadent marrow eagerly from the bone. Toasted breadcrumbs were a carrier for this delicious fatty substance which unearthed some primal instinct in all my dining companions. We then poured a shot of bourbon down the bone to collect any remnants of marrow our slurping, licking and sucking may have missed. The gnocchi were perfect little globes and the entire dish is something I have thought about and recommended many times since tasting.
Price: Appetizer (without the gnocchi or cornbread): $18 OR Entrée: $32
Special Add-on: A complete bone’s pour of White American Bourbon to finish your meal – $12 (bring a bib)

Signature Dish: Thai Steak
Prime sirloin steak strips on a bed of steamed broccoli topped with Simply Thai’s red curry sauce. Jasmine rice topped with bell peppers, fresh basil and lime leaves complete this plate.
This colourful and nicely decorated dish was served up with genuine hospitality. The restaurant is one of the oldest in the area. Unfortunately we were a bit late arriving and they had prepared it ahead so it was cold by the time we tried it, but I did enjoy the richness of the Thai red curry sauce.
Price: $25
Offered: Dinner nightly

Signature Dish: Pan-roasted Thiessen Farm Blue Foot Chicken Breast
house-made potato gnocchi, BC lobster mushrooms, roasted baby carrots, sage cream
We dined out at Catch 122 and had the opportunity to try this moist local chicken dish in a rich sage cream. Very nicely crisped skin, and another winning gnocchi; pilowy soft with a crisp exterior.
