Coast Hotels & Resorts today announced that is has signed a franchise agreement with Guildford Hotel Ltd. to rebrand the Ramada Guildford Surrey Hotel as the Coast Surrey Guildford Hotel effective January 1, 2011., B.C.
This is the fourth hotel agreement Coast Hotels & Resorts has signed with Bob Mandair, President of Guildford Hotel Ltd., which purchased the Surrey hotel in September. Mr. Mandair is also part owner of the Coast Discovery Inn & Marina in Campbell River, B.C., the Coast Canadian Inn in Kamloops, B.C. and the Coast Fraser Inn in Williams Lake, B.C.

The Surrey hotel, located at 10410 158th Street, is approximately 32 kilometres (20 miles) from Vancouver International Airport and 35 kilometres (22 miles) from Abbotsford International Airport, located one block from the Trans Canada Highway and is within walking distance of the Guildford Town Centre (B.C.’s second largest indoor shopping mall). The hotel features 77 beautifully appointed rooms, including 21 suites, three meeting rooms capable of seating up to 100 people, a fully equipped business centre, year-round heated outdoor pool and hot tub, fitness facilities, and an on-site ABC Family Restaurant.
The Surrey hotel recently completed a $1.1 million renovation which included a complete upgrade of all guest rooms featuring new furniture, 37 inch flat-screen TVs, carpeting and draperies, along with a makeover of the lobby area and exterior painting.
