Until month end (October 2013) MARKET by Jean-Georges is featuring a southern influenced gastpub menu inspired by the hotel’s Atlanta location’s restaurant – Cook Hall.
Atlanta chef David Gross stopped by for a few days to properly school Chef Montgomery Lau and his kitchen staff with tips for creating this interesting menu.
This is a menu to be shared so gather up your pals and head in for a feast of Crab-stuffed Devilled Egg, the amazing Kale Caesar Salad with it’s luscious crispy egg, or the Popcorn Shrimp with actual popcorn coated shrimp, popcorn and ranch dressing, a strange but addictive combo. The Caveletti with sausage is addictive and the balance of sweet and spicy in the sauce that accompanies the Steelhead is addictive.
It you hit the bar side of the restaurant you can craft your own cocktails with the Cook Hall Cocktail Kit; don’t worry if you are not a mixologist, the kit comes with instructions as well as fresh herbs, house made bitters, fresh fruit, shrub syrups, alcohol, and sparkling soda water.
