The dream of every amateur chef and self-proclaimed foodie is to share inspiration and a real restaurant kitchen with a critically-acclaimed chef. On Monday December 7th you can!
Be part of a private cooking lesson for 10, plus dinner with db Bistro Moderne’s Chef de Cuisine Stephane Istel. Share inspiration and a professional kitchen with a Daniel Boulud trained, world-class chef.
Rendezvous with Stephane in the Lumiere kitchen (next door to db Bistro) at 4:30pm on Monday, December 7th. Lumiere is closed Mondays for private parties, so you and nine others will have the kitchen, and Stephane all to yourselves.
After class, sit down with Stephane to share the evening and the meal you made together. Sommelier Kevin Van Hullebush arranges gorgeous wines to pair.
Classes are hands-on and participants learn techniques they can master easily and use at home. For this holiday season class, Stephane plans an entertaining-friendly menu:
Tarte Fine Provencal, Eggplant, Tomato, Smoked Mozzarella, Arugula and Sauce Vierge
Seared Arctic Char, Cauliflower Puree, Romanesco Fleurette, Radish, Sauce Grenobloise, Beurre Rouge
Madeleines, Vanilla Ice Cream and Berries Coulis.
Space is limited to 10 students only so reserve early. $150 per person incl class, dinner, paired wines, take-home recipes. Tax and gratuity extra.
A companion fare of $85 offered to spouses, friends and family, and includes dinner and paired wines.
