Neighbourhood favourite CRU restaurant is adding some new items to its tantalizing menu. CRU won Best Small Plates in last year’s Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards, but it’s clear the restaurant hasn’t become complacent because of its success. The new items on the menu are sure to get any epicure’s mouth watering:
Cru’s Version of “Bruschetta”: grilled foccacia with edamame spread, marinated tomatoes & pecorino romano
Pickled Beet & Chèvre Salad with sherry beet purée bull’s blood greens, black pepper pistachio powder
Crostini Three-Way: fig & walnut tapenade / white bean purée with sage / roasted red pepper
Pan-Seared Ling Cod scallion dumplings, dashi ponzu broth, bok choy sprouts, ginger chillies
Grilled Lamb Chop with apricot and pine nut couscous, harissa rouille
Riesling-Poached Pear with crumbled gorgonzola, toasted filberts, organic greens in dijon vinaigrette
Guests can now choose from these fresh additions to the menu, as well as old favourites like Crispy Duck Confit, Syrah-Braised Short Rib, Mushroom Truffle Risotto, and Cru’s famous Cellar Door Caesar.
