Since it began in 2004, The Weekend to End Breast Cancer has raised more than $16 million for research and is the largest breast cancer fundraiser in B.C. history.  This money has brought leading breast cancer experts to BC, funded breakthrough research, helped to advance clinical trials and provided the best available technologies and programs at the BC Cancer Agency.  The Weekend has transformed breast cancer research and care in BC and its impact is also felt across Canada and the world.  Collaboration among cancer experts is building partnerships and projects in North America and Europe and is accelerating research and development of new treatments.  One of many discoveries researchers have made in recent years, is the connection between breast cancer and other gynecologic cancers.  In acknowledgement of this fact, the Weekend to End Breast Cancer has now become the Weekend to End Women’s Cancers.
