Diners participating in Tourism Vancouver’s Dine Out Vancouver 2010, presented by Visa, not only got a delicious deal during the promotion, but also had the chance to rank their dining experiences in the third annual “Best Bite” awards. The winners of these awards represent those restaurants that impressed consumers with their menus, value and service.
Diners rated their Dine Out Vancouver experience at a particular restaurant through an online survey or mobile phone application. Voters were asked to give the restaurant a score out of five in each of the categories. The winners were chosen based on the average score a restaurant achieved in each category. Tourism Vancouver is proud to announce the following honourees.
Best Appetizer: Coast Restaurant
Best Entrée: Miku Restaurant
Best Dessert: Coast Restaurant

Best Overall Dine Out Vancouver Menu: Coast Restaurant
Best Service – sponsored by Visa: Maurya Indian Cuisine
Dine Out Vancouver 2010 ran for 11 days from April 26 to May 6 and. featured 206 of Vancouver’s top restaurants offering three-course dinner menus at $18, $28 or $38 price points.

All diners who rated their experience were entered into a random draw for two fabulous prizes provided by Rocky Mountaineer. The Best Bite grand prize was won by Burnaby’s Holly Workman who gets to enjoy a luxurious nine-day Rocky Mountaineer rail journey to the Rocky Mountains valued at over $11,000.
The secondary “I ♥ My Server” prize was won by Leslie Luu of Vancouver, along with the server she nominated, Jackie Milligan from Red Door Pan Asian Grill. Both Leslie and Jackie won a Rocky Mountaineer rail journey to Whistler valued over $1,400 which includes an overnight stay at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, dinner at Araxi Restaurant and sightseeing.
Tourism Vancouver’s focus is on building exceptional customer relationships with meeting planners, travel influencers, travel media and independent tourists. The organization’s brand essence is about “exceeding expectations”.
