While there’s a general lack of great diners in town, you can now sample diner classics at Joe Fortes. And while the atmosphere here is more up-scale than your average diner, the prices are not; all three items lunch items can be had for only $9.95 until March 28, 2014.

We headed in for a five ounce Cheese Burger on a fresh baked bun, house made patty, cheddar cheese, and crispy fries and also dove into a rich dish of cheese-packed Baked Macaroni & Cheese with buttered bread crumbs, cream sauce, and a fresh house baked biscuit.

While we could have stopped there we couldn’t resist the crispy Fried Chicken served up with butter-filled mashed potatoes, tasty coleslaw, and a side of sausage gravy.
