Executive Chef Dodd Joins Section (3)

Section (3) is pleased to announce Executive Chef Ben Dodd as their newest addition to the staff. Dodd was born in Scotland, raised in the Yukon and has a vast amount of culinary experience as a result of working and travelling in various parts of the world.

Executive Chef Dodd studied culinary arts while living in the Yukon, spent time working as a private chef in LA and running bistros in Central America. For 8 years Dodd was the Executive Sous Chef at Monk McQueens Restaurant and for the past year Chef Dodd was acting as the Food Service Coordinator at Vancouver’s LifeSkills Centre. Working with women on the Downtown East Side, Dodd was responsible for organizing meals, teaching cooking courses as well offering life skills mentoring for women. Chef Dodd continues to do outreach work for women in the alleys in the Main and Hastings area.

Section (3) has been a perfect fit for Dodd’s creative but familiar ideas that have been compounded into a fresh and original menu that even the toughest critics would enjoy. Section (3) is now featuring a new menu throughout the day that includes Coca Cola Braised Short Ribs and Wild Sockeye Salmon with a Raspberry and Ginger Glaze. There is definitely something for everyone on the menu!
