On Saturday, July 13th Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria will be hosting an evening of food and wine with internationally acclaimed Neapolitan pizza chef Roberto Caporuscio of the wildly popular Keste Pizza & Vino and Don Antonio by Starita Pizzeria in New York City. In his first visit to Vancouver, Roberto will be giving a presentation on the making of a traditional Neapolitan Pizza as he prepares an exclusive three-course meal that includes his unique Neapolitan pizza creations.
Caporuscio’s restaurants have earned him a world-renowned reputation that has led to high critical acclaim. New York Magazine designated his pizza as the “#1 Pizza in New York,” as well as “Best Pizza” in the state and one of the top 25 “Best Pizza Places in the U.S.” from Food Network Magazine. Roberto also serves as US President of the Association of Neapolitan Pizzaiuoli, the Italian governing body that teaches the art of Neapolitan pizza making, and certifies adherence to authentic procedures.
The evening’s exclusive menu will include two of Roberto’s unique Neapolitan pizza creations, one of which is the famous Pizza del Papa “Pope’s Pizza” that has been sanctioned by Pope Jean Paul II.
