Food Day Canada Celebrates Canadian Food on August 1, 2020
This year may be a little different as your Food Day Canada celebrations will be a little smaller and socially distant, but there’s still so many reasons to celebrate Canadian Food and all it has to offer. Come together for Food Day Canada and shop, cook, eat and honour those who produce and prepare our food across the nation. The spirit of pride will shine as iconic structures are being lit red and white in honour of our Canadian cuisine from Vancouver Island to Newfoundland; see below for the light ups!
Anyone and everyone who loves Canadian food and beverages can participate in celebrating Food Day Canada. Chefs, home cooks, farmers, ranchers, fishers, writers, winemakers, brewers, food processors, researchers, and anyone who loves Canadian Food.
Celebrate all day Saturday August 1, 2020 and say “thank you” to those who feed us so well. Host a socially distant backyard barbecue, throw a picnic, potluck, or patio party or just set up your family kitchen table and raise a toast to those who put food on the table. Just enjoy some Canadian-grown, Canadian-made food and drinks, made by you, your friends, neighbours or your favourite cooks and chef.
