Free Spirit returns to Vancouver on November 30, 2026, with a non-alcoholic tasting at The Pleasant, followed by a new food-and-drink soirée at Burdock & Co on December 1.
Organized by Vancouver sommelier Kurtis Kolt, the two evenings offer a chance to explore what’s happening in non-alcoholic drinks before the holiday season gets into full swing. There’s plenty to discover, whether you’re looking for something to pour with dinner, bring to a party or keep in the fridge for a night in.
A tasting night at The Pleasant
The November 30 tasting brings together non-alcoholic wine, beer, spirits and cocktails from local and international producers. The $48 ticket includes tastings, and Mocktails will run a pop-up bottle shop so you can take home your favourites.
The current lineup includes Sea Cider, Nonny Beer, Edna’s, Whistle Buoy Brewing, Glimmer and Narrative Winery, alongside international names such as Domaine des Grottes, Edenvale, Everleaf, Arensbak and Dr. Zero Zero Amaro. More participants are being announced.
Sea Cider will be pouring the full Temperance collection
Sea Cider will be at Free Spirit Vancouver at The Pleasant on November 30, pouring all five of its non-alcoholic Temperance ciders: Eden, Bonnie, Chérie, Ava and Roxie. It’s a chance to taste the collection side by side and find a favourite for the holiday season.

Free Spirit Soirée at Burdock & Co
On December 1, Burdock & Co hosts a different kind of tasting evening. Its kitchen will be joined by The Acorn and Dachi, with snacks served throughout a walk-around tasting of non-alcoholic drinks.
There are two 90-minute sessions, starting at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., with tickets priced at $64. The announced drinks include selections from Domaine de Montrose, Domaine des Grottes, Gut Oggau, Arensbak and Creek & Gully.
The food component makes this a particularly interesting addition: a chance to explore how these drinks work alongside dishes from three Vancouver kitchens.
