I’m judging this year’s Gingerbread Lane again for the second year tomorrow. (Nov. 24 – Dec. 27) Pictures from last year’s amazing exhibit below.
Everyone from professional pastry chefs to school kids have entered to win and the competition is on. Marvel at their amazing creations and don’t forget to vote for your favourite by making a donation. Gingerbread Lane is happening daily from November 24th – December 27th. The Hyatt Vancouver is located at 655 Burrard Street.
The most decadent lane in the city, filled with pounds of eye-candy and signature treats re-opens at Hyatt Regency Vancouver, November 24 thru December 27, 2010. Once home to the world’s tallest gingerbread man, Gingerbread Lane welcomes over 20,000 visitors each year and has earned its place in the Guinness Book of World Records. More than an attraction, Gingerbread Lane has helped to raise thousands for the Make-A-Wish Foundation to date. “Gingerbread Lane is such a great family event and we are delighted to be part of it again this year”, says Ross Hetherington, Executive Director of Make-A-Wish Foundation® of BC & Yukon.
Families in Vancouver have enjoyed the intricately designed homes on display for the past seventeen years and have been equally supportive of the partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation by making a donation when voting for their favourite home. “We are thrilled to be in a position where we are able to partner such a celebrated event with a great cause”, says Steve McNally, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Vancouver. “Through this initiative, we have been able to assist with wish granting over the years and last year we also arranged for Jennifer Aniston to make a special presentation at the wish ceremony. This is a moment that will forever impact that child’s life.”
