Emad Yacoub and Shannon Bosa Yacoub, owners of the GLOWBAL COLLECTION of restaurants, announce a new steak-centric restaurant opening on Alberni Street in downtown Vancouver, Fall 2011. Given its focus on the best in steaks, the new restaurant is aptly titled ‘Black & Blue.’ The large, dramatic venue will become Glowbal Group’s most expansive restaurant to-date and its third restaurant on Vancouver’s emerging restaurant row, steps from Italian Kitchen and COAST.
“This is a notion my team and I have been developing for four years, inspired by the popularity and classic food at great steak houses throughout North America,” says Yacoub. “In coming months, we look forward to unveiling this culmination of our collective experience, momentum and passion for fresh food, style and atmosphere.”
Designed by Vancouver’s BOX Interior Design, fans of the GLOWBAL COLLECTION aesthetic will enjoy an expansive three-level space. Taking the dining experience to new heights, a glass-walled elevator will transport guests between the main floor and other levels.
As for the menu, as Glowbal Group has both Italian and seafood cuisine covered on Alberni Street, the restaurateurs are set to debut a modern take on steak. Black & Blue will offer the largest selection of prime cuts of steaks – from Wagyu to US and Canadian Prime, with a hand selection of exclusive boutique products. Along with meat selections, guests can look forward to featured fish and shellfish.
