The Irish Heather’s Long Table Series (LTS) has been such a great success that is has no end in site! Additions are being made during the next nine weeks: Thursday is being added to the campaign, eight new dishes are being introduced and nine new beers are being featured.
Originally, LTS for scheduled to run for just 8 weeks, but the overwhelming response has forced The Irish Heather to extend its life indefinitely. The current economic climate has caused the LTS to touch a nerve, and Vancouver has embraced it. Over the first 12 weeks, Chef Lee Humphries and his crew served over 1900 meals, at least twice as many beers, and just under 1000 desserts….by most people’s standards the LTS is a success.
As with the last 12 weeks, there will be a vegetarian option available with 24 hours notice and Coca-Cola is supplying a Coke, Sprite or Diet Coke, in the classic bottle, for anyone who wishes to pass on the beer.
