KETTLE VALLEY WINERY WINE NOTES
MCGRAW 2008 MERLOT
The grapes for this wine come from the McGraw Estate vineyard in Naramata. The grapes were hand picked October 16, 2008 and October 17, 2008 at approximately 25.8 brix. The wine has gone through a full malolactic fermentation and was aged in French oak for 22 months before bottling in 2010. Total production: 75 cases of 750ml bottles
HAYMAN 2008 PINOT NOIR
The grapes for this wine come primarily from our Hayman vineyard in Naramata. This vineyard was one of our original plantings, having been planted in 1988. The grapes were hand picked on October 22, 2008 at approximately 25.2 brix. The wine has gone through a full malolactic fermentation and was aged in French oak for 22 months before being bottled. This is a limited bottling of a single vineyard Pinot Noir. Total production: 80 cases of 750ml bottles.
2008 PINOT NOIR RESERVE
This wine is a blend of select barrels of Pinot Noir grown in the Elgert vineyard in Okanagan Falls, the Hayman vineyard in Naramata and the Thibault vineyard in Summerland. The grapes were hand picked between October 21, 2008 and November 1, 2008 at approximately 24.7 brix. The wine has gone through a full malolactic fermentation and was aged in American and French oak for 22 months before being bottled. Total production: 174 cases of 750ml bottles.
2010 PINOT GRIS
The grapes for this wine come from the vineyards of Thibault, Lerchs and Varisco in Summerland, Cole and Cossentine on the Naramata Bench, Elgert in Okanagan Falls, Dhaliwal in Oliver and Secord and Pereira in the Similkameen Valley. The grapes for this wine were hand picked between October 14 and November 8, 2010 at approximately 24 brix. A portion of this wine has been barrel fermented before being blended with wine that was fermented in stainless steel tanks.
Total production: 2500 cases of 750ml bottles.
