As many of you know I am a member of  Les Dames d’Escoffier, an invitational organization of women leaders in food, beverage and hospitality whose mission is education, scholarship and philanthropy. Much of our fundraising goes towards scholarships for women in the culinary, wine and hospitality industry and last year we gave out $40,000 in scholarships. 

One of the events that we hold every year is Summerdine, a very special evening where guests can dine at different restaurants, wineries, and culinary venues all across BC. This year the date is August 15th and I’ve already bought a seat aboard Pacific Yacht Charters (now sold out), but there’s still a few seats still available that they are going fast. The restaurants donate the table to us to sell go out of their way to make this a truly special evening all for only $80 all in (including wine), it’s a great deal for a great cause and I’d be ever so grateful to y’all for your support.

• An al fresco long table on the beautiful grounds of Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse  in scenic Saanichton catered by Dame Chef Ali Ryan of Victoria’s popular Spinnakers Gastro Pub. Diners will be whisked to and from the event by L.A. Limousines and the four-course dinner will be accompanied by luscious wines from See Ya Later Ranch and of course artisan cider from Sea Cider.

Regardless of the location, all diners will be treated to a specially-designed multiple-course menu, wines selected to complement that menu, a special table or location and an opportunity to meet and chat with the chefs and restaurateurs.

All Summerdine dinners are priced at $80 per person and include the multi-course meal with wine (gratuity not included). The one exception is the Victoria Summerdine which is priced at $100 per person.

All funds raised from Summerdine go to support Les Dames d’Escoffier BC Chapter’s Scholarship and Outreach programs.
