Made With Love Mixologist Competition

VANCOUVER ON AUGUST 20th!

Organizers of the popular MadeWithLove™ Canadawide Mixologist Competition are planning to make a big splash in Vancouver.

On August 20th, the Vancouver Roundhouse will be the stage of a head-to-head competition where guests will taste and judge a line-up of original cocktails designed by 12 talented Vancouver mixologists:

Following the outcome of the Chinatown Race Challenge that took place in June, the finalists competing in the July event are:Brendan Brewster – Fiamo Italian Kitchen
Dave Mott – Brandywine Bartending / Coast restaurant
Geoff Mott – Brandywine Bartending / Pair Bistro
Grant Sceney – Lobby Lounge Bar, Fairmont Pacific Rim
Jason Browne – Calabash Bistro, Vancouver
Jesse Bailey – Indépendant
Julia Comu – The Keefer Bar
Keenan Hood – The Keefer Bar
Marc Smolinski – Max’s Burgers
Rob Scope – Calabash Bistro, Vancouver
Robert H Holl-Allen – jules bistro, gastown, vancouver
Shea Hogan – Clough Club, Bitter Tasting Room

A winner will be chosen in each of the two following categories:

Public’s Choice
Ticket holders will take part in twelve exclusive tastings and be entitled to vote for their favourite cocktail. The winner will be awarded an all-expense-paid three-day trip to Halifax in order to present a new cocktail creation at the MadeWithLove Halifax edition that will be held October 15th 2012.

Judges’ Choice
The Judges Panel, which is composed of four people, will attribute a score to each cocktail based on the following criteria: originality, presentation and taste. The winner will be awarded an all-expense-paid three-day trip to Halifaxl in order to present a new cocktail creation at the MadeWithLove Halifax edition that will be held in October 2012.
