Date: Thursday, October 18, 2012
Time: 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Location: Cambie Kitchen

Join us on Thursday, October 18th in the 39th & Cambie kitchen for tasting and bottle signing with one of the world’s biggest celebrities, Mr. Angelo Gaja!

Angelo Gaja, the reigning prince of Piedmont, almost single-handedly put Barbaresco on the fine-wine map. Since taking over the family winery in the late 1960s, Gaja has helped to transform once-sleepy Barbaresco into a center of adventurous Italian winemaking and turned Nebbiolo into a popular grape. He also pioneered the development of Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay as stand-alone varietals, a radical move in the region. Never content to rest on his laurels, he acquired an estate in Barolo in 1996, invested in Bolgheri in Tuscany and has added a Brunello to his stable. Wine Spectator Oct. 12, 2007

Mr. Gaja is a living legend. If you know wine, you know his name and his reputation as the most celebrated Italian winemaker in history by Gambero Rosso, Italy’s wine bible. For 50 years he has innovated and introduced exciting winemaking techniques to Piedmont ultimately changing the global image of Italian wine over the past half century.

*Bottles will be available on-site to purchase for Mr. Angelo Gaja to sign.
