Event Alert – March 8 – Minibar Presents Empowering The Future

Vancouver – International Women’s Day 2018 – Empowering the Future With Minibar

Networking event, titled “Empowering the Future” brings together women in the hospitality industry, taking inspiration from this year’s International Women’s Day global theme

The who’s who of Vancouver’s hospitality scene will gather at Cafe Medina on March 8 to mark International Women’s Day at a networking event titled “Empowering the Future”.

Women have a long, rich history in the hospitality industry, bringing both a playful and maternal instinct to bars, restaurants, cafés and associated manufacturers and steering an ever-growing industry towards higher levels of distinction.

As women continue to prove themselves a powerful part of the social, economic and cultural fabric, a Canadian group, called Minibar Canada (with the help of passion partner, Bittered Sling) – comprised of passionate female bartenders and ambassadors – have developed the “Empowering the Future” gathering in Vancouver, as not only a celebration of women in the hospitality industry, but one of three events happening across Canada. Minibar Canada – in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver – will host simultaneous networking events for women in the hospitality profession on March 8, intended to motivate and encourage the next generation of women to aspire to even greater heights in the industry.

Empowering the Future will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Cafe Medina, 780 Richards St. in Vancouver on March 8, with scheduled speakers and complimentary refreshments and snacks. All women working in the hospitality industry — front and back of house staff, business owners and managers, chefs, sommeliers, brewers/distillers, media, publicists and marketers/designers — are welcome to attend. While there is no cost for the event, donations made in any form to the “Women’s Health Collective” will be graciously accepted.
