On Thursday, June 30, Aura restaurant at the Nita Lake Lodge will be hosting a Mission Hill Winery Dinner. The evening will bring food, wine, and knowledge together for an evening that promises innovative cuisine paired with outstanding wines in the most spectacular of settings.
The evening will begin with an insightful tour of Nita Lake Lodge’s rooftop garden with famed restaurant chef, Tim Cuff. From rooftop to tabletop, the garden boasts over 30 herbs and 40 different types of vegetables, making this the freshest selection available. At 5:00 pm inventive cocktails and sparkling wine will be served with a selection of carefully crafted canapés. Guests are invited to take the time to mingle on the sun-drenched patio of the Cure Lounge, and enjoy the views of the lake surrounded by nature. Afterwards, guests will be guided to the more intimate setting of Aura restaurant for a specially prepared six-course meal, paired with expertly chosen wines from the Mission Hill Winery, including a trio of its famed Oculus as the final table wine. Taste buds will be taken on a tour of the West Coast with locally sourced fish, beef, and vegetables. The meal finishes with desert accompanied by ice wine, chocolates and port. Guests can watch the alpenglow fill the surrounding skies as they head up to their intimate boutique suite – the perfect end to the perfect evening.
Executive Chef, Tim Cuff, is a native of Saaskatoon, Saskatchewan. He has worked his way through some of the finest kitchens in Canada and has finally landed at the Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler, BC. With profound respect for local suppliers, Tim argues that there is a difference in the richness and depth of their produce that is worth fighting for. Harnessing passion and attention to detail he has created his own distinctive style. This event will showcase this award winning Chef’s love of rich flavors and his unique culinary philosophy.
