@WFWines – Executive Chef/Sommelier Mark Filatow and his team are thrilled to welcome guests to their newly expanded restaurant. After weeks of extensive renovations, the acclaimed Kelowna eatery is open for business, now with double the seating capacity.
“It feels wonderful to be open for business once again and to finally be able to show off all of our hard work to our loyal customers,” notes Chef Filatow. “We are extremely proud of all the work that everyone put into the renovation and are truly excited to share our new look and new menu with everyone.”
The beautiful restaurant makeover, completed by Sawchuk Developments and renowned designer Paul Skutshek, welcomes guests with clean, elegant touches that truly reflect the understated charm that Waterfront is so well known for. Parties of up to 22 guests can also reserve the private room that features a stunning beachwood chandelier and rolling wooden doors.
Not only did the renovations double the size of the charming seating area, Chef Filatow also has a larger kitchen in which he and his culinary team, including Restaurant Chef Wayne Morris, can flex their culinary muscles. The gorgeous open-concept kitchen gives guests the chance to get a glimpse of all the culinary action. To truly get up close and personal with the chefs, reserve the chef’s table. Seated right at the kitchen counter, guests will be able to see how each meal is masterfully prepared and also get the inside scoop on all the local ingredients right direct from the front-line.
Along with the larger kitchen, that included a few new kitchen toys, comes a more extensive menu. In addition to fan favourites like Calamari; Pomme Frites; and Peppercorn Crusted Flat Iron Steak, diners will delight in several new items including Crispy Sweetbreads with Stuffed Cappelletti, Wild Mushroom Ragout and Basil Crème Fraîche; BC Spot Prawn Risotto with Fennel, roasted Red Pepper and Candied Lemon; and Grilled Thiessen Farms Quail Breast with Smoked Polenta and Red Vermouth Jus. The wine list is just as impressive offering some of the best sips the Okanagan has to offer as well as top international selections. The menu will continue to evolve with the seasons to reflect Chef Filatow’s passion for the outstanding local ingredients that our beautiful region and brilliant local producers have to offer.
