Vij'sKhatsahlano Arts and Music Festival

I’ve been visiting restaurants on Vancouver’s 4th Avenue to find out what they will be doing for the upcoming July 13 Khatshalano Festival and found a few new ones I worth checking out.  Tractor Healthy Everyday Foods has opened at 1903 West 4th and serves a range of fresh and healthy salads, sandwiches, soups and stews in a informal cafeteria-style format. I loved their beet and green bean salad, beef stew and gluten-free chocolate cookies

Further west Peaceful Restaurant is now open at Balsam and West 4th and features dishes from Northern China such hand-crafted noodles Szechuan Green beans.

I’m also monitoring the progress of the soon to open August Jack, a new craft beer-focused spot on 4th that had been posting their menu testing pictures on facebook, making me very hungry.  Certainly more than just pub food coming here  with dishes including Butternut squash, hazelnut & goat mozza perogies.
