Setting the Harvest Table
As the summer heat gives way to the crisp days of fall, the excitement builds as we gather for harvest, crush and fall festival.
Poplar Grove Fall Release 2010
Pinot Gris 2009
Tasting Room Release: October 1, 2010
The 2009 Pinot Gris shows light straw color in the glass and first aromas evoke memories of baked apple and Grand Marnier. Light to medium in body, the first taste brings out fresh peach and quince. Resting in the glass this Pinot Gris begins to show notes of crème caramel and melon. The clean crisp acidity is the perfect foundation for a foodie wine; something rich and succulent and enjoyed very slowly. Linger with your lover over the finish.

Poplar Grove & SOWINS
Every year the Poplar Grove tasting room offers tastings of our wines in trade for a donation to a local charity. This year we are partnering up with The South Okanagan Women in Need Society to give back to our community.
SOWINS is a registered non-profit society formed in 1981 to serve the Okanagan. Their mandate is to provide services for abused women and their children.
Poplar Grove and our generous tasting room visitors have currently raised over $8,000.00 in donations in 2010 from our tasting fees. Our goal this year is
$10,000.00!
Please come visit us in our tasting room this fall and help us reach our goal!
Wine Club
Our first annual Wine Club BBQ was a smashing success! Chefs Roger Planiden and (our very own) Laurie Barnes rolled out a fabulous feast of grilled salmon, hand-made gourmet burgers and fresh, haute salads. The ever effervescent Poplar Grove staff poured our tastiest wines (including our secret dessert Riesling) while we danced the night away on the edge of the lake.
Thank you to everyone who came and spent the evening with us and if you were not able to attend we hope that you can make it to the next Poplar Grove Wine Club BBQ in August 2011, which will be at our new winery…
If you are not yet a Wine Club member stop missing out! You can join by signing up on our website click here or by emailing wineclub@poplargrove.ca.
