The Oliver/Osoyoos Oyster Festival was created to showcase the sustainable oysters produced by the farmers and guilds of the nearby West Coast together with wines from the Oliver/ Osoyoos Winery Association. Even oysters need a day in the sun!
New for this year- Canada’s first Oyster Wine competition, sponsored by Eat Magazine, Walnut Beach Resort and Codfathers Seafood market. The competition is open to wineries across Canada and wines entered must be made from 100% Canadian grown grapes. Winners are announced at the Art of the Oyster event.

Special events this year include “a Long Table Oyster dinner” at Miradoro Restaurant at Tinhorn Creek Winery, “Under the Tuscan Sea Oyster Dinner” at Terrafina Restaurant at Hester Creek Winery, an Amateur Shuck and Suck competition and a Beer & Oyster Party. The signature event of the festival, The Art of the Oyster takes place on Saturday, April 20th, at Walnut Beach Resort and showcases oysters creations from Oliver’s & Osoyoos’ best restaurants alongside freshly shucked oyster stations from Effingham Oysters, Outlandish Oysters, and local fish mongers Codfathers, Buy the Sea and Helen’s seafood. Enjoy wine tasting stations from participating Oliver and Osoyoos wineries.
