Sometimes I post something completely outside of our regularly programmed mostly BC news, but I’m doing this for anyone (including myself) that will venture to Ottawa in the next little while. While Chef Matt Carmichael of Ottawa’s Atelier ventures off to compete in the gold medal plates, some of Ottawa’s superb culinary talent will take over the spot, one group at a time. Even if you can’t make it at this time, it’s a list of the top spots in what has become a Canadian city to watch for its culinary scene. Michael Moffat of Beckta Dining and Wine was a competitor in last year’s Gold Medal Plate Finale and proved to be on his game in the kitchen.
