Wines of Provence and Signature BC Liquor Stores will team up this summer (June 29th to August 2nd) to inspire the palates of BC wine enthusiasts with A New Way to Think Pink, a month long promotion to celebrate the lovely pink hues of Provence rosés. The launch of this in-store thematic will include a FREE public event to take place on Saturday, July 9th 2011, between 3-6 pm at the 39th & Cambie store in Vancouver.
This special event will provide an opportunity to explore France’s oldest wine producing region and experience first-hand the exceptional array of colours, textures and flavours that these wines have to offer. Two representatives from Wines of Provence will be on hand to give valuable insight into the versatility of these delicious wines and as a memento of the event, participants will take away a recipe book filled with traditional Provençal recipes to enjoy their favourite dishes from the South of France, at home.
Provence rosé wines offer an array of delicate fruit and floral flavours, which combine with subtle spicy aromas to produce an elegant wine, giving them the ability to pair with many types of cuisine. There are three appellations within the Provence region, each rich in tradition. Côtes de Provence, Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, Coteaux Varois en Provence. Provence attributes the versatility of its rosés to the diverse relief of the land, the well-drained soils and the ancestral know-how of its winemakers.
