Casual Downtown Wine Bar Focuses on Small Plates and Stellar Wine List
Q4 Restaurant Group is delighted to announce the opening of Tappo Restobar, downtown Vancouver’s new casual wine bar and restaurant. This lively new room takes the place of Q4 al centro, which has closed after three years of operation.
Tappo Restobar will pay homage to the Italian fare that Q4 Restaurant Group has focused on for nearly 20 years. Featuring uncomplicated food made from local ingredients, Tappo serves Mediterranean- and Pacific Northwest-inspired small plates—that encourage guests to share with friends and experience a variety of flavours at once—along with authentic pizza from the Wood Stone Forno pizza oven that takes centre stage in the kitchen.
Tappo—meaning “cork,” in Italian—features a well-edited wine list of fewer than 40 labels that showcases some of the world’s finest grape-growing regions and varietals. Projected on a screen above the bar to resemble a chalkboard, the wine list changes monthly and includes wines available by the bottle and glass. Rounding out the beverage program at Tappo Restobar is a Mediterranean-inspired cocktail list, as well as beers on tap.
The unpretentious, 70-seat room offers guests the choice between table seating, high-top tables and bar seats. The interior is warm, stylish, and comfortable with plenty of room at the cocktail and kitchen bars. Abuzz with activity and music, Tappo Restobar offers downtown Vancouver’s largest luxury screen during the NHL season, as well as multiple TVs showing everything from Vancouver Whitecaps soccer games to BC Lions football games. Located in the heart of the city’s sports and entertainment district, Tappo is the spot for pre-event meals and post-event bites. A very popular feature at the restaurant is free valet parking at all times.
