About the field trip:
This field trip is suitable for all ages. Groups will tour the farm with one of our enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructors. Through touching, tasting, smelling, and seeing, our farm educators will ground classroom learning as we explore the farm environment. Tell us what you’re learning in school and we will try to tailor your visit. 

Specifics:

  • The tour takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes and will finish with the children picking their own pumpkin from our field.
  • We require approximately one supervisor, parent, or teacher per 10 children.
  • Bus parking is available on the street.
  • Let us know if you want to stay late and have a snack break before heading back to school.

Group Rates

  • $13 per child and includes a pumpkin
  • Parents and organizers are free (pumpkin not included. $5/pumpkin)
  • There is a minimum charge of $70 per group
  • Reservations are required

  • We are open for bookings between  8am and 6pm daily (October).

Did you Know?

  • Pumpkin flesh was once used as a cleaning detergent.
  • The original pumpkin dessert involved filling the pumpkin with milk, sugar, and spices and cooking it in the hot coals of a fire.
  • All our pumpkins are locally grown (either on our farm or Westham Island Herb Farm)
