Liberty Merchant Company pours it on at Taste BC 2011
For Liberty Merchant Company, the holiday cheer doesn’t end with the year and neither does the giving.
Liberty is once again recruiting British Columbia’s finest food and beverage purveyors for Taste BC: a fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital-Oak Tree Clinic which specializes in providing care and services to those with HIV/AIDS. Taste BC, now in it’s 17th year, has raised a total of $170,216, and we look forward to strengthening our contribution.
The 17th annual celebration of local food and drink takes place January 18, 2011 (4:30-7:30 p.m.) at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Vancouver. Guests will taste, sip and experience BC’s finest wine, beer and spirits accompanied by tasty fare from our best local restaurants. Along with excellent food and drink, attractions include live music, door prizes, and a silent auction that rivals any other. Silent auction items include luxury items, local experience packages, destination packages and delicious products made by British Columbia’s own.
Taste BC is one event you will not want to miss. This memorable tasting promises to inspire, bringing together in one place all the flavours of the the province. Most importantly, Taste BC’s proceeds to benefit one of the province’s most vital medical institutions.
Tickets can be purchased at all Liberty Wine Merchants locations for $49.99 each.

Jackson Triggs!
I like Mission Hill.
Mission Hill. Or Inniskillin. Or Tinhorn Creek. Ok, so my favourite VQA winery is a list of three 😉
Mission Hill!
I’m a bit partial as I’m from Richmond … but how great is it to have the Sanduz Estate Winery in my own (sort of) backyard!
Jackson Triggs is an all time favourite of mine 🙂
I just discovered White Bear Winery in the Okanagan!
I love Gray Monk! The owners have such a fantastic story and I love that their family is all working together. Mmmm… And the Pinot Gris!
There are lots of good ones but my current favourite is Tinhorn Creek.
Venturi Schultz, although not as often as I’d like.
La Stella and Tinhorn for sure!!
But I also love many other BC wineries
Mission Hill for their merlot.
I would have to say Mission Hill as well.
Quails’ Gate Estate Winery
Burrowing Owl!
Mission hill is always one of my favorite. 🙂
My favourite BC VQA winery is a tie between Quails’ Gate and Summerhill Pyramid Winery. They both also have amazing vineyards – don’t miss it if you’re visiting the Okanagan!
Burrowing Owl is my fave, but also like Desert Hill
Ohhhhhh, that’s a bit like picking a favourite child, not fair. Hmmm, OK today I love Stoneboat!
Hands down, Burrowing Owl has to be one of the finest wines BC produces.
Love Lang vineyards. Their farm reserve reisling is to die for!
Tantalus all the way!
I love me some Burrowing Owl hoothoot!
Mission Hill
I love White Bear Winery in the Okanagan, amazing wine!
Wild Goose Vineyards near Okanagan Falls.
Their Autumn Gold special blend is delicious.
Nk’Mip Cellars!
I love Inniskillin, especially their ice wine which tastes so heavenly! When I drink their vidal ice wine, I feel that I have died and gone to heaven. Please pick me. I just love, love, love food and BC wines. I love Jackson Triggs, Mission Hill, Quail’s Gate, Burrowing Owl, and others too many to mention. Quail’s Gate has the best restaurant with the yummiest halibut I have tasted and the flatbreads that are sooooo good.
I love all the VQA wines (love BC wines)but right now my favorite has to be Sandhill Small Lots
Favourite VQA winery is Inniskillin
Burrowing Owl is really smooth. I do enjoy that!
Burrowing Owl, was my first winery experience way back when & I always go back !
My Fav: Lake Breeze Vineyards 2009 Pinot Gris
Burrowing Owl Chardonnay and Joie’s Noble Blend are my faves!
I will go with Cedar Creek.
Gehringer Brother’s, especially Minus 9
I want to win
TASTE BC
I love Domaine de Chaberton’s Bacchus
